Interior design trends to look out for in 2018

Interior design is constantly changing and evolving as new styles become popular. Homeowners therefore get inspired by new trends and try to incorporate these inspirations into their design.

Through our extensive knowledge and experience of the industry, we have previously written an article looking back at the top interior design trends in the UK of 2017, which can be found here. Last year brought lots of wonderful and fascinating new styles, including the incorporation of nature and metals into our homes.

Here, on the other hand, are some of the key things and trends you should look out for in 2018:

Colourful kitchens

All-white kitchens interiors will be a thing of the past from 2018 as people are wanting more colour in their kitchens. Use neutral colours to brighten it up for the new year. Colours like pastel blues and greens give the kitchen a warmer and more personal touch whilst also reducing the visibility of cooking-related stains.

Statement storage

Statement storage will be a growing trend in 2018 as people are now going back to capitalising on the functionality of their space. There have been times that people would sacrifice their storage space for style, but as house prices are rising and the cost per square foot is increasing people are moving away from this idea. As a result, homeowners are looking to make the most of all the space available and use large, statement storage in the interior design of the property.

Floral prints

Floral patterns and prints are a fun and funky thing to incorporate into your interior design. Used subtlety they can be a fantastic addition to any room of your house, including the living room or bedroom. Floral prints have shaken off their old and dated perceptions and are now incorporated in a bold and fashionable way.
